Alteros’ GTX Series Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Wireless Microphone System replaces today’s operating problems with game-changing technology. Operating at 6.5 GHz – well beyond the shrinking, overcrowded TV bands – this fully digital system delivers low-latency, uncompanded audio of the highest quality, while requiring no coordination, STA, or database registration. Plus, the GTX Series features MADI, fiber, Dante™ and AES67 digital outputs for seamless integration with the IP infrastructures that are increasingly becoming the norm in broadcast environments and beyond.
Unlike legacy wireless systems which require specialized antennas, filters, combiners, distribution amplifiers and expensive connecting cables, the GTX Series requires only three components to operate: the GTX3224 control unit, GTX32 transceivers and GTX24 body-pack transmitters. The GTX32 transceivers connect back to the GTX3224 control unit via standard Cat 5 cable in a home-run configuration to define and cover the operating space. Once the transceivers are connected to the main control unit and the transmitters are turned on, the system is ready to go – no frequency coordination, license, database registration, STA or other permission is required.
Alteros also offers switches and accompanying software that can be used to connect GTX systems for either facility- or location-wide zoning. In addition, these switches can be used to provide immediate failover redundancy for GTX3224 control units. Each switch handles 8 channels of audio or GTX32 transceivers (depending on setup). Multiple SWX8 passive switches and SWX8C control switches can be used.
The GTX3224 control unit is the primary component of the GTX Series, powering and controlling the system and its outputs. The durable, 3U rack-mount unit features a 7" touchscreen GUI; MADI BNC/fiber, Dante and AES67 digital outputs; headphone output with volume control; 32 transceiver inputs; and two fully independent IEC cable AC input power supplies. Available in 8-channel, 16-channel and 24-channel models with additional channel licenses available via an easy firmware upgrade.
Body-pack transmitter with 3-pin LEMO connector. Transmits true-digital, no-continuous-carrier UWB pulses. Equipped with soft-touch controls and powered by two AA batteries. Compatible with the GTX899 lavalier microphone and the GTX899SW lavalier microphone with in-line talk-back switch, sold separately.
Body-pack transmitter with 2-pin LEMO connector. Transmits true-digital, no-continuous-carrier UWB pulses. Equipped with soft-touch controls and powered by two AA batteries. Compatible with other manufacturers’ popular broadcast-quality lavalier microphones.
Remote antenna/receiver unit that wirelessly transmits control/sync information for up to 24 GTX24 transmitters. Up to 32 transceivers connect to the GTX3224 control unit via Cat 5 cable, with a proprietary communication protocol enabling cable runs up to 1,000 feet without signal degradation. Transceiver is equipped with both 5/8"-27 and 1/4"-20 mounting threads.
